How long does the shipping process take?
Normally, the express shipping company will be able to deliver items in 7 to 10 days and this type of shipping is trackable online. However, the shipping time will vary depending on the location, the mode of transport and the type of item. Items that are being shipped outside Italy and that are older than 50 years must pass through the ‘Office of Belle Arti’ to be certified. This process may take up to 30 days.
How can I pay for my purchases?
AWe accept payment by the following methods:

Is it possible to cancel/return an order?
Please refer to the ‘Disclaimer’ section of this website for details. Generally, items can be returned at your own cost up to 10 days after they have been received. Reimbursement of the object purchased is in full less the expenses that we have incurred.
Is the merchandise insured against damages incurred during the shipping process?
Yes. If an item is damaged during the shipping process, the insurance will cover the cost of any repairs or, if repair is not possible, will provide a full reimbursement.
To make an insurance claim, it is necessary to send to us photographs of the damaged item from all sides (a.) whilst still in its packaging and (b.) when removed from packaging. These will be required alongside a damage report and an estimate of the cost of repair. Please contact Mario Curini for the billing invoice in such instances.
How old is the item that I wish to purchase?
The age of all our items are estimated by our experienced dealer. It is possible to receive an official evaluation from the ‘Office of Belle Arti’. This office charges between 100 € and 200 € for each item.
Can merchandise be shipped anywhere in the world?
With our contacts at 6 different shipping agencies, we are able to send merchandise anywhere in the world. If items are shipped by Poste Italiane, DHL, Cav and Euro Express, they are delivered to the required address. If items are shipped by Savino del Bene or Trilog or Galardi s.r.l. , they are delivered to the nearest port/airport. The customer must organise and pay for the transport from the port/airport to the final destination.
What is the origin of the items that you sell?
Our furniture originates exclusively from Italy, mainly Tuscany. They are purchased directly from private clients. All our other goods are purchased from either private collections or are sourced from traditional craftsmen (e.g. Murano glass, copper items, ironware etc.)
Can I pay in instalments?
Instalment payments are made through a leasing agency (Consel) for italian customers, which offers very good rates of interest.
Do you dismantle furniture before transport?
It may be necessary for us to dismantle some items of furniture before transport to ensure that they are not damaged during transport.
Do you buy or value items of interest (e.g. furniture and ornaments etc) from the general public?

What happens if an item that I like has already been sold?
All the furniture items that we showcase are unique. However, get in touch with us at info@mariocurini.com as we often have, or can locate, similar pieces that may be of interest to you. Most of the iron, copper and glass items that we sell are hand made and it is possible to request additional pieces.
Is it possible that the furniture has woodworm?
On request and for a cost, we can treat our wooden furniture to ensure that any woodworm is eliminated.
Do you look for furniture/ornaments on request?
